Researchers found that people with psoriasis genetic variation similar to the HIVcontroller, people infected with HIV-1 but is able to defend themselves so thatHIV infection does not progress to AIDS.
Scientists observe the 1700 patients with psoriasis and nearly 3600 peoplewithout psoriasis. Research results indicate that psoriasis is significantly pendritaable to defend themselves from the adverse effects of HIV-1.

The study was conducted by Haoyan Chen of the University of California at San Francisco.Research published in the journal Public Library of Science last February 16,2012.

According to researchers, the results indicate that psoriasis penbelitian is a malfunctionof the gene variations are supposed to protect the body from disease.

Further studies are needed to understand why autoimmune diseases appear. Inthis way, the defense mechanisms of HIV and efforts to address HIV / AIDS canbe pursued.
